Restock your book collection at Lifeline Bookfest
Lifeline Bookfest offers Brisbane bookworms a place to discover new authors and subjects, and spend four days filling bag or trolley with a range of pre-loved books. From lavish coffee-table books to literary classics, a favourite tome is sure to be uncovered.
Biannual book sale Lifeline Bookfest is set to return to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre in South Brisbane this weekend, from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm Saturday June 7 to Tuesday June 10. Exhibition Halls 3 and 4 will be divided into three categories: high-quality books at varying prices, a $2.50 section and a $1 section. The high-quality aisles will contain rare finds, collectables and well-preserved books free from marks and page tears, while the $2.50 section will be filled with well-thumbed books and the $1 section will be piled high with medium-quality tomes. Biographies, fiction and non-fiction books will all be laid out for bookworms to rummage through, as well as a large range of magazines, movies on DVD and VHS, and music on CD, vinyl and cassette tapes.
You can be confident in the knowledge that all money raised at Lifeline Bookfest will go towards Lifeline’s 24-hour crisis line, supporting suicide prevention and awareness programs in Brisbane.
