Lavazza Italian Film Festival

Enjoy foreign film at the Lavazza Italian Film Festival

The Lavazza Italian Film Festival brings Brisbane natives a selection of Italy’s biggest recent box office hits, as well as several outstanding new dramas selected from the prestigious Cannes, Berlin, Venice and Rome film festivals.

With more than 30 films, the Lavazza Italian Film Festival embraces some incredible stories and topical themes. Each film yields a fascinating perspective on Italy and the Italian culture, including Andrea Segre’s award-winning gem Shun Li and the Poet (Io sono Li) and Golden Globe-winning The Entrepreneur (L’industriale).

The adventures, romances and predicaments of visitors and residents of Rome come to life in Woody Allen’s 42nd feature as a writer and director, To Rome With Love. This richly textured film is part love story, part comedy of errors, with an enduring crowd-pleasing playfulness. Other standout films include Welcome to the North, Piazza Fontana: The Italian Conspiracy, and The Last Earthling and Reality, spanning genres of comedy, drama and sci-fi.
