Lavazza Italian Film Festival returns to Brisbane

Lavazza Italian Film Festival returns to Brisbane

A brilliant selection of comedies, dramas and romance films are set to slide down Palace Cinema screens next month as the Lavazza Italian Film Festival returns to Brisbane for its 15th year.

Thirty-five fine features, documentaries and classics will be tugging on heartstrings and triggering belly laughs as the 15th Lavazza Italian Film Festival arrives at Palace Barracks and Palace Centro next week. Kicking off with an opening night gala and screening of Marina on Wednesday October 1 and closing with a pre-film reception and Marriage Italian Style on Wednesday October 22, the festival will bring a touch of Mediterranean mischief, romance and panache to Brisbane.

From the touching documentary Off Road to award-winning animation The Art of Happiness, the festival will feature an impressive line-up of Italian films, including three direct from Cannes Film Festival, contemporary flicks produced within the last 12 months, signature Italian comedies, and the perfect option for the little ones, Elementary Loves. Browse festival session times and special events, and secure your tickets online.
