Judith Lucy

Judith Lucy returns to Brisbane Powerhouse with Nothing Fancy

From meditation to beards, Judith Lucy applies her quick wit and dry humour to the art of classic gags in her latest on-stage offering, Nothing Fancy. A stand-up comedian for more than two decades, Judith has humour nailed on the head.

Starting out a career on TV including ABC’s The Late Show, Judith has worked in radio, appeared in films and has contributed to newspapers and magazines as a columnist. In 2008, she ventured down the author path, with her best-selling The Lucy Family Alphabet about her nutty Irish parents and her discovery that she was adopted.

But the stand-up stage has continued to seduce her, calling her back every couple of years for another stint of the funnies. Squeezing tears of laughter from your ducts, this new show by Judith Lucy, while branded as mediocre in performance, will leave stomachs in stitches and not an eye dry. Head along to Brisbane Powerhouse until July 22.
