Fill your basket and your belly at the new Jan Powers Hawthorne Twilight Markets
The team behind the Jan Powers Farmers Markets has done it again with the launch of a new market at Hawthorne Park on the first and third Friday of every month, from 4:00–8:00pm.
With long-term markets in the City, New Farm, Mitchelton and Manly, Jan Powers Farmers Markets will now service those to the east of the City so they too can stock up on local produce, artisan food and fresh meat and fish, while sample international flavours in the village square. The Hawthorne Twilight Markets will feature more than 40 stalls as well as a bar for those wanting to make a evening of it. There will be music, a jumping castle for the kids and the market is even dog friendly.
The launch market on Friday April 1 will see Jan Powers regulars as well as some new faces don market tables with their offerings. Stock your crisper with fresh fruit and vegetables from Sandy Creek Produce, taste African cuisine at Mother Africa, let the slow-cooked pulled pork from Cow Pig Chicken melt in your mouth or beat the heat with a treat from Nom Nom Natural Gelato. To add to the market vibe, this Friday’s launch will see market goers moving to the beat of passionate Spanish instrumental musicians Rumba Fuego.
