James Street RESORT returns for another fashionable fiesta

After all who attended labelled the inaugural event a huge success, James Street is hosting another fashion-forward event series for RESORT in 2015.

Those of you who daydream of dropping everything to gallivant around Europe’s most fashionable cities or waltzing down 5th Avenue in New York City can get a fix of fashion on October 15–17 as James Street hosts RESORT, a three day extravaganza of events aimed at promoting fashion, lifestyle and design trends as influenced by Queensland’s tropical weather. Last year’s guest of honour was contemporary fashion icon and blogger, Leandra Medine of Man Repeller. This year’s RESORT program will feature an appearance by digital tastemaker and influencer Margaret Zhang as well as fashion entrepreneurs Lisa Gorman and Holly Ryan. These esteemed guests will be participating in the RESORT Trailblazers forum to discuss the future of fashion.

The RESORT program will also feature anticipated events such as the launch of a signature RESORT fragrance courtesy of Molten Store, the Breezeblock Design Forum hosted by Margie Fraser, Adrian Spence, Ingrid Richard and Paul Owen, a turban styling workshop with Pamela Easton and Lydia Pearson, a morning market curated by MOZI as well as a heap of parties located amongst James Street’s hippest boutiques. On Friday October 16 James Street will come alive for RESORT After Dark, where patrons can take part in night time shopping and grab some goodie-filled gift bags courtesy of ELLE Australia. Head to the James Street website and memorise the program, then put your best foot forward as you rub shoulders with Australia’s fashion elite.
