New Ipswich Farmers & Artisan Markets launch

With Ipswich being at the centre of food producing areas like Toowoomba, the Granite Belt, South Burnett, Lockyer Valley, Brisbane Valley and the Scenic Rim, the new Ipswich Farmers & Artisan Markets is set to bring the community together through the love of good food.

Targeting paddock-to-plate farmers and handmade artisans, the Ipswich Farmers & Artisan Markets has an ethos that surrounds ethically farmed produce, food education and a place for local businesses to showcase their offerings. The long-term strategy behind the market is to develop a program to encourage local restaurants and businesses as well as for the community to get more involved in the market.

With the Ipswich City Square as the market’s ongoing home, entertainment festivals and fares already booked into this space will be incorporated into the market program. The market will have something new and exciting happening each week to encourage visitors to keep coming back. This weekend will be like all others in the future, with bands and music, roving entertainment as well as a few surprises in store.

The weekly Ipswich Farmers & Artisan Markets will launch this Saturday March 19 from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm.
