Learn home cheese making at Northey Street City Farm
Northey Street City Farm is a hive of activity with the Edible Landscapes Nursery and the Sunday Organic Farmers Market, as well as permaculture and sustainable-living workshops.
Dairy enthusiasts from far and wide will descend upon Northey Street City Farm on Saturday October 3 to learn how to make cheddar, brie and quark cheeses as well as cultured butter, ghee, yoghurt, kefir and sour cream. Home Cheese Making and All Things Dairy is a workshop by permaculture teacher Elisabeth Fekonia who lives on six acres with her two cows and numerous goats. Elisabeth will be leading budding cheese makers to fromage heaven with this workshop that she has refined over 15 years.
At the event you can sit down to lunch with your fellow cheese makers, and after the event you’ll take home the workshop manual to continue the magic in your own kitchen.
