Take in the devilishly danceable Heathers: The Musical at QPAC
Based on the cult teen film, Heathers: The Musical is a dark yet clever comedy that lampoons high school cliques and classic revenge stories.
In 1988, cinemagoers were taken by surprise by a high school-based comedy that was unlike anything that had come before. Starring Winona Ryder, Christian Slater and Shannon Doherty, Heathers touched in the pressures of life in high school, popularity, love and the demolition of social hierarchy through subversive behaviour. Since its release, Heathers has gone on to be come a cult classic, hailed by many as one of the best high school films of all time.
From January 9–17, QPAC will be hosting Heathers: The Musical at the Playhouse. The production has been well received since its inception in 2010, bringing to life the mayhem and comedy through song and dance. The musical extravaganza is being directed by Fat Swan star Trevor Ashley during its run throughout Australia, and stars a cast of incredible performers. Cast members include Helpmann Award-nominee Jaz Flowers, Kirby Burgess, Stephen Madsen, Erin Clare and many more. If you are a fan of the classic film or a lover of musical theatre, be sure to experience Heathers: The Musical for a night of wickedly hilarious performance.
