We’ve just launched our biggest giveaway ever!

Hey readers, guess what? We really love you. You know what else we love? Dressing up. And while we know it’s more of an American thing, we’re not afraid to admit that Halloween excites us. Who doesn’t love an excuse to dress up and scare strangers? So to celebrate our love of you and Halloween, we’re running our biggest competition ever.

The Weekend Edition has launched an exciting game with its readers – a little game called Trick or Treat. From Friday October 28 until Halloween (Monday October 31), readers have the chance to join in a scavenger hunt on The Weekend Edition websites, hunting for randomly placed pumpkins that will reveal a wicked trick, or wickedly delightful treat. There’s more than 100 prizes to be won – you could win dining vouchers, movie tickets, cupcakes and more … plus Contra is giving away a super-stylin’ hamper of goodies worth $750. Eep! See the full list here.

So how can you play? All you need to do is visit The Weekend Edition between 12:00 pm Friday October 28 and 5:00 pm Monday October 31. As you search through the site, you’ll find randomly placed pumpkins in a number of stories. A hint for players – dig deep and be sure to scroll through articles! Some pumpkins will be tricky to find. We weren’t going to make it easy for you! Simply click on the pumpkin to reveal either a trick (boo!) or treat (yass!). If you get tricked keep searching – there are plenty of prizes up for grabs and new prizes will be released each day. If you get a treat, you’ll be prompted to enter your details to claim your prize – but you’ll only have ten minutes to do so before a ghoul steals it back from you! Please note there’s a limit of one prize per person, we don’t like greedy ghosts.

Happy hunting!
