Get cultured at the Greek & Cypriot Film Festival

Bring along your family, friends, work mates and neighbours to soak up some Greek culture at Brisbane’s first Greek & Cypriot Film Festival. As the Greek say: the more, the merrier!

Dreaming of lazing on a Greek Island, gorging yourself silly on haloumi and honey puffs? If that’s not feasible, get your dose of Greek culture by taking in a film at the Brisbane Greek & Cypriot Film Festival. Hosted by the Brisbane Greek Film Society and New Farm Cinemas, the inaugural festival will run from September 17–20, and will kick off with an opening night gala, which will include live Greek music, Greek delicacy canapes, a boozy beverage upon arrival, and a screening of A Family Affair – an inspirational film about the power of family and music, told through the lives of Greece’s most famous musical clan. Other films screening as part of the festival include Committed, Block 12, Agora, and Alex and Eve.

For more information on each film, check out the Brisbane Greek & Cypriot Film Festival Facebook page, or head over to the New Farm Cinemas’ website to find out session times and book tickets.
