Sample your way around our country’s finest culinary creations at the Good Food & Wine Show
Let’s be honest – tasting something delicious for the first time is up there with one of life’s greatest pleasures. The thrill of finding flavours that really resonate with you is pretty much unparalleled, which is what makes the Good Food & Wine Show the equivalent of Christmas morning for adults. Returning to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from October 26–28, this culinary who’s who brings together a travelling road show of some of the best producers around the country for the pleasure of your tastebuds (and curiosity).
Following some tasty pit-stops in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth, the Good Food and Wine Show is finally pulling up in our neck of the woods. For three days, BCEC will become a mecca for all things delicious – from booze to cheese and everything in between, hundreds of industry professionals and innovators will be showcasing their wares. This year’s jam-packed program offers some returning favourites alongside never-before-seen vendors, as well as a star-studded program of guests. If you love some celebrity chef action, clear your diary – you can witness demonstrations and sample eats from the likes of Matt Moran, Maggie Beer, Miguel Maestre, Alistair McLeod and Matt Golinski amongst a host of other creative wizards.
Of course, the Good Food & Wine Show is about more than just watching the experts at work – it’s a great opportunity to taste your way through hundreds of samples from innovative food retailers. Dairy lovers will delight in the return of Tucker’s Natural Cheese Alley, where you can open your mind to a whole new world of deliciousness. The Good Food Village is a hotspot where you can find specialty items that you may not have tried before, while the Riedel Drinks Lab is the perfect place to learn a little more about the world of vino. This is just the tip of the iceberg – there are so many things to do (and eat) that you’ll want to take your time.
