Happily ever after – enjoy an enchanting night of fairy tales and fun at GOMA this Valentine’s Day
True love’s kiss, love at first sight, happily ever after – is there anything more romantic than a fairy tale? If you’re yet to make plans for Valentine’s Day, you’re in luck – GOMA is playing Cupid with an enchanting evening of joy, after hours in the heart of its Fairy Tales exhibition.
Whether you’re spending February 14 with a date, a mate or you’re leaving it up to fate, GOMA is set to give this year’s Valentine’s Day a modern-yet-magical twist. In conjunction with its fantastical Fairy Tales exhibition, the gallery is hosting Ever After – an after-hours soiree filled with enchantment. From 5:30–8:30 pm, amidst the marvel and magic of the exhibition, you’ll be swept off your feet with pop-up performances, exclusive art tours with Dr Sophie Hopmeier (assistant curator of Fairy Tales), creative workshops, playful photo booths, delectable dining options and a themed bar.
Looking to sprinkle some extra indulgence onto your evening? You can upgrade your Ever After ticket to enjoy a three-course feast at GOMA’s Farm-to-Table pop-up dining experience. QAGOMA executive chef Aaron Holt has crafted a set menu designed to ignite the senses, showcasing the best in locally sourced Queensland produce. Seating times are at intervals from 5:30–8:00 pm and availability is limited, so head to the GOMA website to secure your spot.
