Gather your gold coins for the Sunnybank $2 Food Trail’s lucky eighth year
The award-winning Sunnybank $2 Food Trail is back and ready to take your tastebuds on an Asian foodie adventure, when more than 45 Sunnybank restaurants and outlets will serve up an array of mouth-watering $2 mini dishes. Take a journey around Asia with Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, Taiwanese and Hong Kong cuisines. We’re talking crispy pork noodles, mouth-watering pan-fried dumplings, fresh sushi, chicken katsu, bubble tea, delectable hot cakes and beef pho noodle soup – there truly is something for all taste buds!
As well as all of the food and entertainment goodness you have come to know and love, the Sunnybank $2 Food Trail sees some exciting new additions this year. Organisers have introduced an outdoor dining precinct plus a stage for live cooking demonstrations, so you can boost your cooking skills and take in some al fresco fare. The day is family friendly, with an interactive cooking zone for kids and a bunch of free activities like giant board games, colouring stations and face painting to keep them busy. Grab your food and take a walk around to see roaming traditional lion dancers and busker stations featuring live acoustic performers.
This year marks the lucky eighth edition of the Sunnybank $2 Food Trail – and it’s sure to be the biggest one yet. In China, the number eight is considered the luckiest of numerals … so there will be $8888 worth of prizes to be won! Who is feeling lucky this year? On Saturday June 22, Sunnybank Plaza and Sunny Park Shopping Centre will hold the foodie adventure, running from 2:00– 8:00 pm – so start counting those gold coins and get the family together for one delicious day out.
