Future Beauty arrives at GOMA
A dazzling collection of weird and wonderful fashion will be on display at GOMA for Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion from Saturday November 1.
From November 1 GOMA will be hosting the highly anticipated exhibition, Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion – an examination of the creativity and influence of Japanese fashion designers from 1980 to now. Curator, Japanese fashion historian Akiko Fukai has selected over 100 garments from ground-breaking designers such as Issey Miyake, Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons and Yohji Yamamoto will showcase the elegance, experimentation and innovative style of Japanese fashion.
GOMA will also be hosting a huge range of tie-in events such as curatorial tours, conversation seminars and a return of the Up Late showcase series, beginning with Harajuku-band Broken Doll on November 21.
