Celebrate Australia’s best natural wines at Byron Bay’s Full Moon Wine Fair

The world of natural wines has taken Australia by storm and we can see why. Some of our favourite new sips are of the au naturel variety – we’re fiends for a punchy pet-nat. Often produced through organic and biodynamic farming, these luscious libations are well worth a taste-test. Enter the Full Moon Wine Fair, Byron Bay’s first natural wine festival giving oenophiles the chance to sample all sorts of skinsy sips and juicy drops.

The natural wine movement is flourishing across Australia right now and we’re stoked to be exploring new territory, especially when it comes to minimal-intervention vino. That’s why we’re more than just a little excited for the Full Moon Wine Fair, which is coming to the Secret Garden in Byron Bay on Saturday May 14. It’s here where wine connoisseurs can join Byron’s beloved Luna Wine Store to celebrate the best natural wine talent in Australia. Featuring more than 20 growers and distributors of natural wine, the Full Moon Wine Fair will showcase a lip-smacking selection of grape juice that is kind to the planet and free of chemical inputs.

Your ticket includes a two-hour tasting session, with more than 75 wines available to try on the day (we suggest organising a designated driver, stat), as well as fresh oven-fired pizza from Mullumbimby restaurant Milk & Honey. If that delicious wine buzz has got you in the mood for kick-ons, you’re welcome to stay at the wine bar and enjoy performances from DJ duo In The Flowers and DJ Charlie Chux. The best bit? All profits raised throughout the evening section of the event will be donated to the Koori Mail Newspaper’s Rebuild Fund, which is helping those in the community that have been hit the hardest from the devastating floods in Northern New South Wales.

Can’t wait to fill your glass with some homegrown natural wines? Grab your tickets to the Full Moon Wine Fair here.
