From Paris with love – a cheese laneway is popping up in West End!

This time of the year is a particularly dangerous one – as soon as Brisbane’s temperature drops a little and we’ve exhausted our bank of long weekends, all we can think about is jetting off to another country for a sweet escape and loads of feasting. If you’re lusting after a cheese-fuelled European getaway but can’t spare the airfare, we have the next best thing – take a trip to the Fromage Laneway, popping up at West Village on Sunday May 27.

Fromage Laneway is the first foodie event happening as part of West Village’s Laneway WV, a series of themed pop-ups that will be running at the lifestyle precinct from May to October this year. This cheese paradise will be taking over the laneway on the last day of Erin Lightfoot’s residency in the space, which has already cemented the Laneway VW activation as one to watch. For one glorious afternoon, the tropical garden surrounds of West Village will be transformed into a Parisian-style fromagerie showcasing some of the best cheeses in town.

So what else can you expect to find at the Fromage Laneway? Beloved West End providore The Stores will be providing a fabulous selection of cheeses to suit all tastes, taking you on a culinary journey through Europe. Sip on sparkling wine and wander through the cobblestoned laneway while the sound of live French jazz sets the soundtrack for the afternoon. You can spend your Sunday mixing and mingling with fellow cheese-lovers while pretending you’re in Paris – what’s not to love?

If you’re swooning over the thought of some cheese action, you can snap up tickets to Fromage Laneway through My Guestlist right now.
