This weekend, August 28–30, will see lovers of vintage fashion flocking to the Mount Gravatt Showgrounds in search of unique and historical items at the Frock Up Brisbane Vintage Fair.

This biannual event is Queensland’s longest running vintage fashion event and is held over three days in the showgrounds’ old community hall and modern pavilion, which will be packed to the rafters with an impressive collection of antique, vintage and retro fashion, art, textiles and homewares ranging from the 1920s to the 1980s.

Pick up a bargain at ‘Sell the Wardrobe’ in the community hall where local fashionistas (not traders) sell their own personal collections, or take in a spot of high tea at Katie’s Sweetheart Vintage Cafe, with white tablecloths are topped with fine china serving up homemade cakes, sponges and biscuits.

Whether you are a lover of vintage, browsing for inspiration or searching for that perfect fancy-dress costume, the Frock Up Vintage Fair is a world crossing the dimensions of time, ready to be explored.
