Sit in on Freud’s Last Session at QPAC

C.S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud go head to head in a battle of intellect in the Best New Off Broadway Play of 2011, Freud’s Last Session.

QPAC’s Cremorne Theatre will transform into Sigmund Freud’s London home next week as the celebrated off-Broadway production Freud’s Last Session opens in Brisbane. Following hugely successful seasons in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Sydney, the play will now be performed in the intimate setting of Brisbane’s Cremorne Theatre.

Playwright Mark St. Germain took inspiration from Dr Armand S Nicholi Jr’s 2003 book The Question of God to craft the thought-provoking play, which is based on Lewis and Freud’s intellectual meeting of minds when the young professor was invited to the legendary psychoanalyst’s home on the day England entered World War II. The two let their conversation meander through the key questions of humanity, from God to sex to the meaning of life. Catch Freud’s Last Session at QPAC from Wednesday November 26 to Sunday December 7. Buy tickets online.
