Celebrate the Fourth of July in style at Buffalo Bar’s Festival of the Free

The celebration of America’s day of independence is catching on in Australia with the Buffalo Bar leading festivities with its own freedom-inspired party.

Like Australia Day in January, America’s Fourth of July is a celebration of national pride. If you need to know anything about Americans, it’s that they never do things in half measures – take the imminent Festival of the Free at Buffalo Bar. From July 1 to 3, the CBD bar and eatery will be hosting several huge parties with plenty of American-inspired goodness. Think music, food, beer and a few fun activities to take part in – it’s going to be a real hoot!

Friday July 1 marks the beginning of celebrations, which will include live music, American fare, a Jack Daniels pop-up bar and corn tossing. On Saturday July 2, Buffalo Bar will be activating its neighbouring laneway space for a tailgate party. Wander down and grab a drink from the pop-up tinnie bar and enjoy some live music from The Sugarshakers and Howlin’ Time. Sunday will see Buffalo Bar offer an independence day feasting package – a three-course menu of favourites such as Buffalo wings, smoked beef brisket and apple pie. From 3:00 pm the team from Man vs. Bear will be hosting Seinfeld Trivia in the beer garden. You don’t have to be American to celebrate at the Festival of the Free, but coming along hungry would certainly help.
