Eat Street Northshore takes us to the North Pole for its first long table dinner series

Since moving to a huge new location, extending trading hours and changing its name, Eat Street Northshore has continued full steam ahead when it comes to bringing the people of Brisbane some of the coolest foodie and cultural events on the calendar. The latest innovation to come from the dining precinct is the Chef’s LaneWay LongTable Dinner series, a monthly event that will take diners outside of their culinary comfort zones and into a whole new world of deliciousness. Not one to do things by halves, Eat Street is launching into this new venture with a Christmas in July themed soiree on July 26 that will firmly plant them on top of everyone’s ‘nice’ list.

The gang from Eat Street Northshore is pulling out all of the stops to make sure this debut long table session is going to be a night to remember. It all starts with some cheeky pre-dinner drinks and canapes to set the mood, followed by a decadent sit-down Christmas feast with all of the trimmings. Eat Street’s esteemed chef Peter Dressler (formerly of Buffalo Club and Alchemy) is putting his own spin on traditional favourites like roast turkey and Christmas pudding to bring crowds the taste of home with a high-class vibe. The night will all be soundtracked to three powerful live performances by the Underground Opera including Hollywood tracks, traditional favourites and some Christmas carols thrown in to really sell that festive vibe. The clincher? There will be real snow. That’s how you Christmas in July, folks.

This Christmas in July event is just the beginning in what is planned to be a monthly series of Chef’s LaneWay LongTable Dinners
to be held on the last Wednesday of every month. The off-menu feasts will occur outside of regular trading hours, offering people the chance to experience a different side of Eat Street Northshore. Some of Eat Street’s top chefs, as well as the wizards behind some of Brisbane’s favourite restaurants, will be given the chance to flex their creative muscles by plating up dishes that have never been seen in our city before. Wine and champagne Sommeliers will be coming on board to pair perfect drops with these daring new culinary adventures, taking the whole experience to another level.

If you feel like getting your Yuletide cheer on, you can grab tickets to the first-ever Eat Street Northshore Chef’s LaneWay LongTable Dinner through the official Eat Street website. Season’s greetings, y’all!
