Farm animals, music from the Andes and more at Eagle Farm Markets this weekend
Head on down to the Eagle Farm Markets this Sunday January 17 for a morning of wholesome farm activities for kids and cultural entertainment for the adults, fresh seasonal produce and gourmet products.
Make the most of the weekends on school holidays and engage the kids in farm life at Eagle Farm Markets’ mobile animal farm. Goats, ducks, guinea pigs and chickens aplenty will be waiting for a cuddle on the front lawn near the pedestrian entry of the markets. In the interest of celebrating this iconic horse racing location, rainbow coloured ponies will also be ready to take the little ones on a joyful guided ride.
Eagle Farm Markets has a line up of live music scheduled each weekend and this weekend will see native South American band Walisuma take the stage near the food court. Playing all morning, Walisuma will perform the beautiful and timeless music of the South American Andes. Be taken on a magical journey through the band’s ancient and contemporary culture whilst you sample the international delicacies from the food court.
As you wander around the markets collecting your goods you will come across Quentin Chen, a folk-pop musician. Stop for a moment and take in his guitar playing and cool vocals. Give him some cheer before you stroll along for some more shopping. Fresh fruit and vegetables, live music and buskers, cakes and cookies, ice-creams, craft, African bags, beauty products and kitchen wares are all in abundance at the Eagle Farm Markets.
