Queensland Museum is hosting a string of adults-only after-dark events for Disney: The Magic of Animation

Who said that once you hit adulthood you can’t enjoy the movies you held dearest as a kid? No one, that’s who! For this very reason, Queensland Museum is hosting a selection of 18+ after-dark events for its upcoming exhibition, Disney: The Magic of Animation. We’ll be more than happy to show our ID upon entry for this exciting event.

We have a soft spot for Disney and its roster of nostalgia-inducing films, so it’s safe to assume that we’re counting down the days until Disney: The Magic of Animation arrives at Queensland Museum this June. The charming exhibition will draw back the curtain on almost 100 years of the Walt Disney Animation Studios, revealing the magic and hard work that went on behind scenes of your favourite animated films. So that kids at heart can get an in-depth look at the exhibition (without having to step over awe-struck children in the process), Queensland Museum is hosting a handful of very-special adults-only evenings on Friday June 24, Friday August 5, Friday September 2, Saturday October 29, Friday December 2 and Thursday January 29 (2023).

Your ticket to this enchanting event will gain you entry to explore all of your animated movie favourites in the Disney: The Magic of Animation exhibition, as well as allowing you to free your inner child inside the SparkLab, an interactive science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) space. You’ll also be able to enjoy First Nations storytelling and objects in Wild State, treat your ears to live music and live out your Disney princess dreams by making friends with live animals including native wombats, crocodiles, birds and more.

Tickets to Disney: The Magic of Animation After Dark events are $40 per person and can be booked on the Queensland Museum website
