Discover treasures from eras past at the Brisbane Vintage Fashion Fair

When Karen Zavadil was little, she used to love dressing up in her mother’s hand-tailored outfits made from beautiful fabrics. It was the cool, smooth silks and delicately embroidered beading that initiated her dive into the vintage scene.

Organiser of the Brisbane Vintage Fashion and Décor Fair, Karen started the fair five years ago when it was located in West End.

Now spreading across several spaces at the Eagle Farm Racecourse, the fair continues to grow with each appearance, with this weekend’s event the first of the year. Featuring a bunch of old faithful and newcomer collectors, discover treasures from the Victorian era through to the 1980s.

From Art Deco handbags and 1950s full skirts, to retro lamps and sewing patterns, promenade about the finery in your best vintage garb and scoop up a rare find or classic wardrobe staple at this decadent fair.
