Tantalising trails, cocktail crawls and luxurious lunches – Dine BNE City is bringing together an impressive line-up of Brisbane City’s best bars and restaurants

Our city is known for many things – our snaking river, a collection of stellar live-music venues and one truly dazzling cultural precinct, to name a few – though one undisputed factor that makes us stand out from the rest is our burgeoning dining scene. Sure, Brisbane has always been blessed with a cracking culinary offering but it seems now more than ever, we are really spoilt for choice. So you can indulge in some of The City’s top-notch restaurants and bars, there’s a brand-new two-week festival with more than 80 exclusive offers and dining experiences across 50 local venues. Say hello to Dine BNE City, an epicurean celebration set to line your stomach with Brisbane’s most delicious sips and snacks from May 13–30.

From stellar steakhouses and indulgent Italian locales to riverside drinking destinations and sumptuous seafood spots, the inaugural Dine BNE City is bringing together a salivation-inducing line-up of The City’s best venues. Hungry folk can sate their appetites with three jam-packed food collections, each serving up exclusive deals and menus to suit every palate, budget and time of day. Let’s Do Lunch is delivering a smorgasbord of wallet-friendly luxe lunches to city slickers, with a fleet of city favourites slinging delectable midday meals ranging for $25 or $35. Stick a fork in to sand-crab lasagne covered in rich abalone sauce and burnt sage paired with a glass of crisp Chandon Blanc de Blanc at Mr & Mrs G, indulge in a juicy flank steak served with soft horseradish mash potato and pico de gallo with a glass of house pinot noir at Fatcow Steak & Lobster, or let your chopsticks caress oodles of authentic pad Thai whilst you sip on a refreshing drop at Naga Thai.

Those seeking some tastebud-tingling fare at twilight should look no further than Supper Club, which will see some of Brisbane’s best restaurants slinging exclusive set menus after dark. Tuck in to Fraser Island crab linguine served with rocket and parmesan salad, and followed by a Sicilian lemon tart at COPPA, pop in to Patina at Customs House to devour Hervey Bay scallops, Southern Downs eye fillet and a glass of Prosecco, or make tracks to Vintaged to try Bundaberg-molasses-cured salmon served with horseradish creme fraiche, balsamic pickled onions and croutons, plus a glass of boozy sip of your choice. Curious gastronomers can explore the metropolis in a mouth-watering new light with Bar Safari, which will see event-goers sip and snack through The City’s most iconic bars and hidden gems. You’ll be able to dig into woodfired pizza whilst sipping a frothy concoction at Will & Flow, slurp up freshly shucked oysters and Jacquart Champagne at Grape Therapy, or wrap your mitts around beef-brisket sliders paired with a glass of red in the sky-high surroundings of Sixteen Antlers.

There’s also a line-up of bar tours that will take eager sippers on tours around Brisbane’s best wine dens, pubs, bars and cocktail dispensaries. Oenophiles can traverse through a treasure chest of City venues (think Alba Bar and Deli, City Winery and Greenglass) on Urban Wine Walk, the ultimate self-guided wine-tasting experience where drops from 14 Australian winemakers will be available to sample.
