Eat, drink and be merry as Dine BNE City returns for the month of June
Hark and hear what festivities approach us! The City is set to once again be transformed into an epicentre of epicurean extravagance, as Dine BNE City returns this June. For 30 delectable days The City will celebrate its spectacular food scene with a jam-packed program full to bursting with special set-menu lunches, exclusive suppertime soirees, a safari of bar-crawling boisterousness and one-of-a-kind dining experiences. Today the full Dine BNE City program is revealed – here are our highlights …
Returning for its fourth year, Dine BNE City is a month-long showcase of the dining delights available in the inner city. From longstanding institutions to plucky newcomers, interstate heavyweights to hometown heroes, more than 55 venues will come together for an incredible array of exclusive offers and special experiences running between June 1–30. With such a range of incredible talent on show, there’s something on to suit every palate and fill every plate.
Explore the daytime dining opportunities in The City with the Let’s Do Lunch series, which includes the likes of an Ottoman’s Lunch at Babylon, house-made gnocchi or speedy seafood risotto at Alchemy’s Express Lunches, or one of Pneuma‘s ever-changing daily main courses served with a glass of wine (or two). Snag a Santa Monica signature lobster roll, pair a pasta and a pinot at Massimo, or treat yourself and your work bestie to a delightful lunch date with tasty small plates at Alba. At Gather Bistro you can sit down to a mouth-watering meal of steak frites with a glass of pinot (noir or grigio) while Malt Dining is offering a worker’s lunch with beef brisket burger, crispy fries and a crisp pint.
As the sun sets and The City lights up the nights, you can partake in a series of set-menu sensations as part of Dine BNE City’s Supper Club. Enjoy charcoal-fired king prawns served with scampi caviar at European-inspired restaurant, bar and delicatessen The Wolf, indulge in a three-course Italian experience at Bar Pacino, or heighten your senses with a unique blindfolded dining and drinking experience at Santa Monica’s Dine in the Dark. Sample all of Settimo’s signature dishes with its Sunset Supper set menu, or sit down to steak, salad and sips at The Lex. Gather a group to experience Madame Wu’s three-course banquet or the Phoenix‘s Deluxe Menu, which includes a 800 g lobster prepared your way!
If you’re feeling thirsty get ready for Bar Safari, where Brisbane’s best boozers will be shaking and stirring a stellar selection of lip-smacking libations. From Souvlaki and Sips at OPA Bar + Mezze, Beer and Bao at Longwang, to Seafood and Spritz at Blackbird, there’s more than enough to have you shouting “cheers!”. Clink your glasses to champagne and oysters with Dom Perignon at Rothwell’s Bar & Grill, or Louis Roederer at The Wolf. Or take a step sideways with house martinis served alongside anchovy fillets down at Frog’s Hollow Saloon.
There’s also Dine BNE City’s exciting spread of exclusive ticketed events – show-stopping experiences that demonstrate the dazzling heights of Brisbane’s dining scene. Snag yourself a spot at the likes of Madame Wu’s 6FT6 Wine and Patient Wolf Gin Cocktail Dinner, the Brisbane Quarter Progressive Dinner, or Walter’s Saturday Winter Roast. Celebrate International Sushi Day with dinner at the Boom Boom Room, raise a toast to Van Diemen vintages at Tillerman’s Tasmania & Tillerman Wine Dinner, or get inside the kitchen with Settimo’s Pasta Making Masterclass.
