When it comes to Sunday afternoons, there tend to be two kinds of people – those who become inconsolable that their beloved weekend is coming to an end, and those who choose to suck the very marrow out of their last remaining hours of freedom. We know which camp we’d rather be in – so why not lean into those endless summer vibes? For the first three Sundays in February, West Village will transform into The Deck WV for a series of themed foodie events that are sure to get your mouth watering and your weekend vibes flowing. Did someone say Sunday session?

The Deck WV will be popping up at West Village to celebrate all things Sunday – think food, friends and relaxing times. The gang from West Village wanted to create an event series that would encapsulate the feeling of Queensland summer weekends, centred on bringing people together to enjoy unique dining experiences with a more chill tone than a strict sit-down affair. Each event focuses on a specific foodie theme catered by some of The Garden Pantry’s most mouth-watering names – and trust us when we say the spread is to die for.

Kicking off Sunday Sessions at The Deck WV is Mr Bunz, celebrating Lunar New Year with a sumptuous three-course roaming banquet. A selection of must-try dishes – including peanut butter and jelly buns alongside bubble tea cocktails – will be served up with a complimentary beer with each course. If you’re feeling cheeky, save the date for February 10 when the team from Cheeky Poke channel your inner Hawaiian fantasy for a gin and poke extravaganza – think hula girls, gin tasting paddles, nori tacos and more poke than you can poke a chopstick at (heh). Finish it all off with an Amalfi-style bottomless Italian lunch from Salt Meats Cheese on February 17, complete with pizza boards and the infamous cheese-wheel pasta – oh, and flowing Aperol Spritzes, of course.

Tickets to all three Sunday Sessions at The Deck WV are available through Eventbrite – to snap one up to your event (or events) of choice, head to the West Village website.
