David Malouf launches new poetry collection Earth Hour

In the month of his eightieth birthday, the author best known for his musings on the characters, topography and history of Brisbane, David Malouf, will launch his newest prose: Earth Hour

His depictions of Brisbane’s disorienting namesake river and its surrounding city, the depth of his characters and his literature’s connection to place are familiar to many, and on Wednesday March 26 at 6:30 pm David Malouf will launch his newest book.

Published by University of Queensland Press (UQP), Earth Hour is David’s first full collection of poetry since Typewriter Music – which was released in 2007. Earth Hour, which explores memory, imagination and mortality, will be launched by Riverbend Books and Teahouse at Brisbane Grammar School in Spring Hill. You can secure your spot to hear one of Australia’s most highly acclaimed authors read from his newest writings by visiting Riverbend’s website.
