Customs House’s beloved pop-up bar returns with a Saint-Tropez twist
Although our stock of summer days is dwindling, that doesn’t mean the sunset drinks, delicious eats and good vibes that arrive with the season are finished! If you’re keen to keep on kicking on, then we suggest sauntering down to Customs House’s beloved riverside bar, which has transformed into a Saint-Tropez-inspired pop-up that celebrates the laidback French Riviera lifestyle – and it’s all thanks to the bubble-loving folk at Moët & Chandon.
After taking a short hiatus, Customs House’s much-frequented pop-up bar is back with Saint-Tropez Sunsets by Moët & Chandon. Launching on Friday February 26 and running every Friday through to Sunday from 3:00 pm, this lavish locale is toasting to Brisbane’s extended summer with top-tier champagne, sumptuous seafood and sweeping river views. The sun-dappled spot will be decked out with Mediterranean-inspired striped umbrellas, stylish garden furniture and breezy shaded cabanas ideal for small group hangs or intimate date nights.
So, what’s on the menu? Culinary thrill-seekers can tantalise their tastebuds with a brioche lobster roll topped with dill and salmon pearls before making their way through a mouth-watering selection of morsels like fried-pumpkin flowers stuffed with goats cheese, sun-dried tomato and thyme, and Hervey Bay scallops with vanilla cauliflower and a chorizo crumb. As for drinks, eager sippers can expect flowing Moët & Chandon as well as drops from some of France’s finest wine regions, with plenty of Provence rosé, Sancerre, Chablis and Beaujolais available to sample. A walk-in only activation, this picture-perfect pop-up will be serving up bubbles and bites for a limited time only so we suggest making a move, pronto!
