Join the Cub Scouts at Alhambra

Brisbane has been the birthplace of a worthy crop of bands, from The Go-Betweens to Powderfinger and Last Dinosaurs. One of the latest additions to Brisbane’s musical family is Cub Scouts – a five-piece indie-pop-making group of youngsters.

The band is already off to a good start in the industry, after receiving a barrage of airplay on Triple J and playing an applaudable set at St Jerome’s Laneway Festival back in January. If you haven’t already heard the Cub Scout’s music, take a listen to standout hits ‘Evie’ and ‘Do you hear’. Both songs will be on the band’s debut EP release, which was created in conjunction with John Castle (the man responsible for Washington’s I Believe You Liar).

After sharing the stage with Ball Park Music, YesYou, Nantes and Pluto Jonze, Cub Scouts will play student club night Lambda on June 7. Taking place at Alhambra, the night is always a-flourish with live acts, wild dancing and red plastic cups.
