Talented school kids to take the stage
Talented kids from around the state are set to wow audiences in Creative Generation – State Schools Onstage 2015.
Don’t let the name fool you. Creative Generation – State Schools Onstage 2015 may feature school-aged children, but this award-winning production is anything but amateur. In this stunning, arena-style show, you’ll witness the best young talent from across the state come together to perform numbers covering a mix of musical genres including classical, rock, pop, musical theatre, hip hop and jazz.
Taking to the stage will be 600 dancers, 600 choristers, 65 symphony orchestra members, The James Morrison Creative Generation Big Band, drumline, featured vocalists, massed strings, and a film and stage crew, ranging in age from Prep to Year 12. Now in its eleventh year, Creative Generation – State Schools Onstage 2015 aims to mentor the next generation of performers by granting them the opportunity to work with and learn from industry professionals. The students are set to strut their stuff at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre stage on 17 and 18 July.
