Lagers, live tunes and finger-licking eats – Crafted Beer & Cider Festival announces a new date
Following a momentary postponement, Crafted Beer & Cider Festival is back! The festival now falls on Saturday November 28 and as always, revellers can expect another froth-filled day of fun on the Gold Coast. Never one to disappoint, this year’s festival will see 40 of the craftiest beer-istas pouring 200-plus brews, including limited-edition sips and festival exclusives alongside a jam-packed line-up of entertainment and eats. So what are you waiting for? Pick up your mates, roll out the ol’ picnic blanket and enjoy an afternoon of top-notch nosh, live music and some beautiful brews by the beach.
Kicking off at 12:00 pm and running through until 8:30 pm at Kurrawa Park in Broadbeach, Crafted Beer & Cider Festival is set to be a sun-soaked Saturday filled to the brim with local and national beer and cider makers. Knowledgeable bartenders will be pouring everything from IPAs to sours, as well as fresh takes on lagers, ales and ciders. The jam-packed line-up of beers include sips from Currumbin Valley Brewing Co., Balter, Lost Palms and Black Hops Brewery, which will be joined by Brisbane characters Green Beacon Brewing Co., Soapbox Beer and Ballistic Beer Co. Searching for something a tad stronger than your average lager? The gin-slinging crew from Miami distillery Granddad Jack’s will also be making an appearance, shaking classy cocktails from a higher vantage point – a two-storey vintage bar.
So you can pair your sips with a snack or two, the beachside festival will also feature a bevy of drool-worthy gourmet food trucks, with Abbiocco Food Truck, California Tacos, Cychos Buffalo Wings, Micasa Food Truck, Browne Barista and The Wiener House just some of the players that will be dishing up delicious beer-friendly eats. Once your belly is full and you’ve tried a couple of different drops, treat your ears to some tunes from a dynamite roster of musicians playing live and loud throughout the afternoon. Grinspoon frontman Phil Jamieson, along with funk and reggae blenders Cheap Fakes and Brisbane rockers Beddy Rays will hit the stage with Sunflower, Dopamine, Citrus Daze, Eyethewild and Beatniks DJs. Afterwards, stretch out those limbs with a session of beer yoga or test your ping-pong skills at the Jimmy Brings Games Arena.
The full line-up of brewers, bands and bites is coming soon, so keep your eyes peeled on the festival website for further updates. The final release of tickets for Crafted Beer & Cider Festival are on sale now and selling fast. Hop over here to snag yours!
