Critically acclaimed musical Come From Away flies into QPAC this weekend

After successful stints on West End and Broadway, the much-loved musical Come From Away is finally landing in Brisbane on Friday March 26. Read on for what you can expect at this all-singing, all-dancing true-story.

The Book of Mormon, The Gospel According to Paul, Muriels Wedding The Musical – QPAC has welcomed some truly incredible stage shows in the last few years. The next jewel to be fixed to the venue’s crown is the Tony and Olivier award-winning musical Come From Away, which tells the jaw-dropping true story of what happened shortly after the September 11 attacks, when the world was in a state of shock, turmoil and grief.

The heart-warming stage show follows the passengers of the 38 planes that were ordered to land unexpectedly in a small town in Newfoundland, Canada. The characters in the musical are based on (and even, in some cases, share the names of) the real residents as well as some of the 7000 stranded travellers they cared for, who the Native Newfoundlanders refer to as “come from aways”. To secure your ticket to this breathtaking showcase when it comes to QPAC for a strictly limited season from Friday March 26 to Sunday April 18, hop over here.
