Cirque du Soleil returns to Brisbane with Totem

The evolution of mankind is placed under the microscope in this new production by the world’s most renowned circus troupe. Totem is set to wow audiences when it opens on April 10.

Since premiering in 2010 to rapturous reviews, Totem has toured the globe, amazing audiences with Cirque du Soleil’s trademark displays of athleticism, comedy and visual effects. Written and directed by multidisciplinary artist Robert Lepage, Totem follows the origins of man from its early genesis to its current incarnation. Evolution is charted through the performances of 45 acrobats, actors, musicians and singers who convey the mythology of our species in a spectacular display.

Cirque du Soleil is one of the most popular production companies in the world thanks to its high production values and its commitment to artistic endeavour. Having just recently celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2014, Cirque du Soleil is arguably one of the most sought after shows on the planet. Totem is an all-new big-top production, which can be seen at Northshore Hamilton from April 10.
