Daring acrobatics meet physical poetry – Circa’s Peepshow rolls into town
As Idina Menzel once sang “It’s time to try defying gravity”, and that’s exactly what the talented performers are set to attempt in Circa’s Peepshow, a captivating contemporary circus show that turns cabaret on its head, showing at QPAC from January 14 to 25.
QPAC’s Cremorne Theatre will be transformed for the ultimate cabaret entertainment experience when Circa’s Peepshow arrives in town. Combining spectacular dance choreography, cheeky comic routines and thrilling acrobatics, this fast-paced show and its skilled performers will seduce, shock and stun (though may leave you feeling less than limber).
Created by Yaron Lifschitz – and performed by internationally-renowned Brisbane-based circus company Circa – Peepshow has travelled to some of the world’s iconic theatres including New York’s Lincoln Centre and Philharmonie de Paris, as well as a sell-out six month stint at The Chamaeleon Theatre in Berlin. Explosive and lyrical, Peepshow will delight the senses with dynamic group acrobatics, spellbinding solo acts and tantalising duets.
Circa’s Peepshow contains partial nudity and adult themes and is recommended for eyes 15 years and older. Check out the the seductive showmanship for yourself when it arrives at QPAC on January 14. Grab your tickets from QPAC’s website now.
