Spice up your life at Cine Latino Film Festival

Brisbane is set to sizzle this August 12–24, with the inaugural Cine Latino Film Festival coming to audiences exclusively at the Palace Barracks Cinema. This brand-new event treats viewers to an inside look at the sights, sounds and stories of Latin America.

Cine Latino Film Festival is the biggest and brightest selection of films from Latin America to ever come to Australian shores. The festival is a celebration of diversity, drawing upon a huge selection of countries to bring together the best new films from Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Cuba, Uruguay, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile and Puerto Rico.

The program has been carefully curated to reflect a range of genres from the most happening titles in Latin America, with more than 30 films showing over the course of the festival. Highlights include opening night film Neruda (Chile) and festival centrepiece The Violin Teacher (Brazil). The stunning Argentina by master filmmaker Carlos Saura (Raise Ravens, Carmen) will close the festival.

To celebrate the arrival of the festival in Brisbane, The Weekend Edition has ten double in-season festival passes up for grabs thanks to the fine folk at Cine Latino Film Festival 2016. Festival passes are valid for all sessions at the festival excluding opening and closing nights, special events and public holidays.
