Cheese Week returns to Portside Wharf for a week-long celebration of all things fromage
From the perfect melt-in-your-mouth topping for our favourite carb-heavy dishes, to its status as a hero ingredient of any charcuterie board, cheese is a dangerously-addictive morsel that goes well with almost anything. To celebrate the appetite-stimulating dairy-based treat, Portside Wharf is hosting Cheese Week from Friday March 13 to Friday March 20, featuring a plethora of cheesy specials that are sure to supply a calcium hit.
Whether your a fiend for cheddar, mozzarella or parmesan, Cheese Week at Portside Wharf (starting from Friday March 13) has something for every cheese connoisseur. Fromage enthusiasts can tuck into cheesy deluxe nachos from Burrito Bar, four-cheese pizza with fior di latte, gorgonzola, fontina, parmesan and pear from Gusto da Gianni, stacks of cheesy naans from Aamaya Indian Restaurant and crumbed mozzarella sticks from Hello Harry. There’s plenty more mouth-watering bites to taste in the riverside precinct, including cheesecake from Dendy Cinemas Portside, creamy three-cheese pasta from Cruisers Alfresco, vegan-friendly cashew-cheese nachos from Pineapple Express, velvety cheese gnocchi from Belvedere Bar n Grill and loaded cheese platters from Byblos Bar.
Looking for a hump day treat? On Wednesday March 18, you can sip beers from Bentspoke Brewery and graze on several types of cheese from Le Fromage Yard at Sense of Taste at the Beer Meats Cheese event or indulge in a wine and cheese pairing experience at @ Mr & Mrs Jones. Turophiles and oenophiles will be taken on a culinary journey featuring cheeses paired expertly with boutique matched wines, guided by Samantha Faircloth from Negociants Australia and Lisa Nicholson from Fino Foods.
