Celebrate Charles Dickens’ 200th birthday at QPAC

Through his pen, Charles Dickens bought to life an endless array of colourful characters, each cleverly woven into intricate plot lines filled with drama and intrigue.

While Dickens’ stories were the direct result of his elaborate imagination, many of his lady characters were directly inspired by the women who came in and out his life.

By reincarnating 23 of Dickens’ beloved female and male characters in the one show, Miriam Margolyes not only recreates some of the author’s fictional tales, but also provides a glimpse inside the world and personality of Dickens.

Returning to Australia for the second time, Dickens’ Women is a one-woman show that aims to illustrate the nature and personality of Charles Dickens through the words of his characters. Infuse your weekend with a live performance of classic literature at QPAC from March 22–24.

The performances are part of the worldwide celebrations of Charles Dickens’ 200th birthday.
