Join local author Matthew Condon in conversation

Lovers of crime fiction get an extra chill down their spines when reading the work of local author Matthew Condon, who bases many of his works on true events. Joining investigative journalist Chris Masters in conversation, Matthew will discuss his new book Jacks and Jokers, which follows on from his bestselling book Three Crooked Kings. His latest read delves into the corrupt ways of former Police Commissioner Terry Lewis and the ‘Rat Pack’, during the Joh Bjelke-Peterson era. As the investigative reporter who broke the story of the corruption on Four Corners in 1987 – the story that was the catalyst for the Fitzgerald Inquiry into police corruption – Chris will certainly add some interesting fodder to the conversation. Join Matthew and Chris at Brisbane Powerhouse on Sunday April 13.     more
