Bop to the pops – Britney Spears’ choreographer is hosting a dance class full of Brit’s hits
Look, we’re not gonna beat around the bush – life in quarantine has got us doing some some strange things. Whether it’s attempting to dramatically change our hairstyle à la Britney circa 2007, text our K-Fed-like exes, or the boundless attempts to replicate Britney Spears’ iconic dance moves, our lives are starting to mirror our favourite gym-burning pop queen. To help us get a piece of Britney (and get a good sweat sesh in while we’re at it), Brit’s former choreographer is hosting a virtual pop-song-fuelled dance class. Yep, that’s right – it’s time to work, bitch.
Choreographer Zae Northy, who has worked with Britney on a number of projects over the years (as well as fellow songstress Janet Jackson), will be hosting two virtual classes based on the pop star’s nostalgic dances. The dance class will get you moving and shaking on Saturday May 23, with the beginners class kicking off at 6:00 pm and the intermediate/advanced class starting at 7:00 pm.
You’ll pop, lock and drop to a mix of the best Britney jams from the nineties and noughties – think ‘…Baby One More Time’, ‘Toxic’, ‘Oops!… I Did It Again’ and ‘I’m A Slave 4 U’. So don your red latex jumpsuit, double-denim or sparkly leotard and get ready to start training with the pros – you’ll be back-up dancer worthy in no time. To quote the wise, phoenix-like pop princess – “I really wanna dance, tonight with you”.
