If you’ve ever found yourself sitting on the couch watching The Chase and thought the questions weren’t that hard, you might want to consider joining a trivia team. The high-stakes world of pub trivia is one of the most entertaining ways to spend a weeknight, with just about every night of the week boasting a trivia night somewhere. Not only is trivia sociable, entertaining and good for the brain, it is also a relatively inexpensive way to spend an evening. Simply pick a location from our comprehensive list of Brisbane’s best trivia spots and then all you’ll need to do is come up with a cool team name! Might we suggest Quizteama Aguilera, Risky Quizness or Trivia Newton John?

Isolation Trivia
The crew formerly known as Man vs. Bear has shifted gears and changed names. Now known as Isolation Trivia, this big-brained crew of accomplished quiz masters hosts a bevy of trivia nights across Brisbane every week as well as the hugely successful Not On Your Rider – a monthly music-themed trivia night at The Triffid in Newstead that features guest appearances from musicians, comedians and a live band. The fun starts on Tuesday with sessions at The Triffid and The Prince Consort in Fortitude Valley, plus Sea Legs Brewing Co. in Kangaroo Point, continuing into Wednesday with gatherings at Shady Palms Cafe in Stones Corner, Pig ‘n’ Whistle Riverside , Caxton St Brewing Co in Petrie Terrace and Wilston’s Village Bar, every second Wednesday. On Thursday nights, you can catch Isolation Trivia at Beerhaus in Bowen Hills, Botany in Newstead, Warehouse 25 in Milton, Suburban Social in Holland Park and Fritzenberger in South Bank. Every second and fourth Sunday of the month, Isolation Trivia takes over Green Beacon Brewing in Newstead for a late-afternoon session. Isolation Trivia also live streams on Facebook several times a month – be sure to check the schedule online!

Quizmeisters
One of the biggest operators of weekly trivia nights, Quizmeisters is a dependable option for folks looking to test their knowledge in the hopes of snagging a prize. The weekly schedule starts with trivia at Beyond the Pale in Coorparoo on Mondays, followed by a jam-packed Tuesday night schedule featuring evenings at Aspley Hornets AFL Club in Carseldine, City Winery in Fortitude Valley, DogTap in Murarrie, The Glen Hotel in Eight Mile Plains, 5 Boroughs in Rosalie, Hotel West End in South Brisbane, Newstead Brewing Co. in Milton, BrewDog in Fortitude Valley, Newstead Social in Newstead and Shafston Hotel in East Brisbane. On Wednesdays, you can saunter into Ballistic Beer West EndHellcat Maggie in The City, Finn McCool’s in FortitudeValley, Morningside Panthers AFL Club in Hawthorne, Saccharomyces Beer Cafe in South Brisbane, Slipstream Brewing Co. in Yeerongpilly, and The Office on Middle in Cleveland. Then you’ll be happy to know Quizmeister trivia nights are on at All Inn Brewing Co. in Banyo, Parched Brewery in West End, Lost Palms in Sherwood, Everton Park Hotel, Alexandra Hills HotelBallistic Brewing in Springfield Central, Black Hops Brewing in East Brisbane, Dalgety 2.0 Public House in Teneriffe, Fritzenberger Wilston, and Happy Valley Brewing Co. in Stafford.

Harry’s Trivia
An OG of the trivia scene, Harry’s Trivia has been keeping brains sharp since 1998. Harry and his cohort of trivia masters host quiz nights almost every night of the week, starting at the Story Bridge Hotel in Kangaroo Point on Tuesdays, as well as 5 Boroughs Everton Park, and 5 Boroughs Springwood. on Wednesday’s Harry’s hosts a quiz-fest at Wests Rugby in Toowong and Felons Barrel Hall at Howard Smith Wharves and then for their biggest trivia night on Thursdays at Gallopers in Ascot, again at Wests Rugby in Toowong, ANFE Italian Club in Newstead, Norman Park Bowls and Pig ‘N’ Whistle in New Farm.

Think Trivia
Established in 2007, Think Trivia has been hosting live multimedia trivia nights for 15 years – and its showing no signs of slowing down. Catch this crew at Stafford Tavern on Mondays, Samford HotelClub Southside in Upper Mount Gravatt, Central Tavern in Burpengary, and Treasury Brisbane’s Livewire Sports Bar on Tuesdays. On Wednesday nights head to the Brisbane German Club in East Brisbane, Tetto Rooftop Bar in Everton Park, Wooloongabba Hotel, and Cleveland Bowls Club for your trivia fix. For some family-friendly trivia check out Brookside Shopping Centre on Thursdays and Mt Gravatt Bowls Club on Fridays.

QuizzaMe!
Few crews to pub trivia better than the team at QuizzaMe! One look at its weekly schedule and you’ll see that many in Brisbane agree. Now, these folks do things a little bit differently – there’s no pen or paper, just wireless buzzers. The faster you answer correctly, the more points you get – simple! Keen to give it a shot? Find QuizzaMe! at Redbank’s Commercial Hotel on Mondays, Aspley Central Tavern, and The One Mile in Woolloongabba on Wednesdays, and Centenary Tavern in Middle Park and the Aspley Hotel on Thursdays.

Trivia Mill
Another big player on the trivia scene, Trivia Mill has a smorgasbord of locations to conquer. Start your week with a some brain-testing fun at Burpengary Tavern, Gaythorne RSLJindalee Tavern, Murumba Downs Tavern and Revel Brewing Co. in Bulimba on Monday, or make Tuesdays your night of competition at Archive Beer Boutique in West End, Brighton HotelCleveland Sands HotelFinnigan’s Chin in Keperra, Milton CommonOrion Hotel in Springfield, Sunny’s in Margate, the Brisbane Lions Club at Springwood and Taigum Tavern. There’s nothing like a bit of hump day trivia – find the Trivia Mill team at Birkdale Gardens TavernBlind Tiger at The Gap, Bonny View Hotel in Bald Hills, Cannon Hill Tavern, Miss Kay’s in BirkdaleSpringwood and Mitchelton, the Paddo Tavern, and Soapbox Beer in The Valley. Later in the week, head over to Catchment Brewing in West End, Brewtide Brewery in Albion, Kettle & Tin in Paddington, Redcliffe Tavern and Full Moon Hotel in Sandgate for a spot of Thursday night trivia.

Funky Bunch Trivia
If you’re looking to flex your general knowledge this week, the crew behind Funky Bunch has got a bunch of places for you to show off your big ol’ brain. On Monday nights, head to Buffalo Bar in The City for a session. If Tuesday night is the night, you can find Funky Bunch at Diamonds Tavern in Kallangur. Wednesday nights see Funky Bunch taking over The Royal Hotel in Nundah, The Sporting Globe in Chermside, The Crown Hotel in Lutwyche, the Waterloo Hotel in Newstead and the Salisbury Hotel. When Thursday comes around, the team hosts trivia nights at The Lord Stanley Hotel in East Brisbane, Underwood’s Hotel HQ and Springlake Hotel.

Big Head Trivia
The boys at Big Head Trivia get around Brisbane on a weekly basis. You can catch them at Welcome to Bowen Hills on Wednesday nights and at The Sound Garden on Thursdays. Be sure to keep an eye out for their special themed trivia nights – they’re a must-attend for anyone with a particular field of knowledge.

Brain Drain Trivia
Since 1996 the Brain Drain Trivia crew have been blessing venues around Queensland with question-based fun. While most of their Trivia nights are down Gold Coast way you can catch Brain Drain at the QA Hotel in New Farm on Tuesdays.
