Little ones and adults alike will find plenty to see and do over the next two Fridays when the Brisbane Night Market gets freaky – think Trick or Treat Trails, a haunted house, competitions for the best-dressed child and adult, devilishly good cocktails and live bands.

Fluffy Halloween Ball: When it comes to extreme dress-ups and killer performances, one need only look to Fluffy for the key ingredients for a next-level Halloween bash. Our city’s home of camp, queer and drag will come alive for a night of spooky revelry, so if you’re keen to hit the dancefloor surrounded by fabulous people in fabulous costumes, don’t miss this one.

Creepy Tiki Halloween Block Party at Jungle: Any Halloween party that involves tropical drinks gets a big fat tick from us. West End’s very own tiki paradise, Jungle, is hosting a scarily good party to get into the spooky spirit – you can expect wicked cocktails (obviously), frightening bites by Eat the Thing, plus groovy tunes spinning all night long.

Beerhaüs Halloween Party: If you want to kick it old-school (with the potential to get rewarded for dressing up), Beerhaüs is the one for you. This lively King Street spot is putting on a party sponsored by Kraken Rum, with live tunes, giveaways and plenty of throwback games (like apple bobbing) to take part in.

VR Fright Night at FreeSpace: Real talk – it can be hard to get into the spooky spirit if your venue isn’t really immersive enough. 80s Karaoke and Spooky Songs at The End: The title of this one pretty much says it all – and what’s not to love about a bit of spookyoke? You can opt for some 80s tunes if you’re not vibing with the horror themes, but frankly if someone doesn’t get up and sing ‘The Monster Mash’ it will be a hugely wasted opportunity.
