Appreciate art and cultivate culture with these unmissable events at Brisbane Writers Festival

The upcoming Brisbane Writers Festival will once again transform our fair city into a literary salon as its program unfurls 150 exciting events across four days. From May 30, a colourful cast of characters will wax lyrical on the wonder of the written word in all of its infinite varieties, including the way writing can encompass other art forms, like music or art – a picture is worth only a thousand words after all. We’ve put together a setlist of unmissable events exploring the ways that writing intermingles with other fascinating facets of art and culture – from ballerinas’ backstage drama to Aussie music icons and feminist art history.
