Brisbane Writers Festival delivers the goods for 2015

Taking place throughout the State Library of Queensland and other locations across the city, the Brisbane Writers Festival program is filled with inspirational speakers and wordsmiths sharing their collected knowledge.

From September 2–6, dozens of authors, artists, innovators and thinkers will assemble for a celebration of words written and spoken. Nationally and internationally renowned guests will take part in the Brisbane Writers Festival program of events ranging from writing masterclass sessions, Q&A discussions and free author events at suburban libraries around Brisbane. The program boasts appearances from Nick Earls, John Marsden, Andy Griffiths, Anna Bligh, Chris Taylor, Jane Caro, Li Cunxin and Jon Ronson to name a few.

Highlights of the Brisbane Writers Festival calendar include the who-dunnit experience at Newstead House for Playing Agatha Christie, the Good Thinking discussion series with Megan Davis and Laurie Penny, a look at Jonathan Galassi’s new book Muse, a Q&A with poet Robert Adamson and a discussion about our bodies with Jessica Rowe, Naomi Alderman and Andy Jackson. Also be sure to check out Craftivism presented by The Weekend Edition on September 5. Head to the Brisbane Writers Festival website for a look at the extensive program.
