Brisbane film fans go subterranean for BUFF

Spread over two full days at Brisbane Powerhouse, Brisbane Underground Film Festival (BUFF) is not afraid to lower its brows.

November 21–23 marks the fourth year of BUFF, which continues to present audiences with its collection of bizarre, budget, eerie and overlooked films. If Hollywood endings and unnecessarily glamorous leads aren’t your thing, you’ll be amongst likeminded company at BUFF. Twisted talks, creepy horror stories and thought-provoking art-house works will be screened during the festival, which will be housed in the venue’s Visy Theatre.

Favouring controversial films over feel-good flicks, BUFF will be featuring an eclectic assortment that includes I Am Divine, It Felt Like Love, Peaches Does Herself, White Reindeer and Pig Death Machine among others. For the full program and list of films, visit the Brisbane Powerhouse website.
