Have an Italian affair during Brisbane Italian Week

Brisbane Italian Week is described as being like Italy without the airfare. The best elements of Italian culture are coming to Brisbane for seven jam-packed days of food, wine and entertainment.

Now in its ninth year, Brisbane Italian Week is one of the most anticipated cultural events thanks to its vibrant program of events. Food, wine, music and dance are all key cornerstones of Italian culture and the very best of each element will be showcased from May 26 to June 2. The 2015 program features events ranging from theatrical performances, classic music renditions and cooking classes.

Take in some Italian Cuisine at the Tuscan Tables Dinner, view the free Italian photography exhibition by Stefania Zara Kleynendorst or take in a free concert from the Amadeus Orchestra at Roma Street. New to the festival in 2015 is the Italian Affair Street Festival, which will be held in New Farm Park on Sunday May 31. Entertainment on the day includes Southern Italian Dance exhibitions, music from Brisbane’s Municipal Concert Band and Brisbane Brass, as well as the vocal talents of Sempre Voice. A smorgasbord of Italian wine and food will be available, alongside some authentic Italian cars. Head to the Brisbane Italian Week website for the full program of activities.
