Brisbane International Film Festival

Brisbane International Film Festival returns for 2013

Get your comfy pants on and your popcorn-diving hand ready as Queensland prepares for the 22nd Brisbane International Film Festival.

If you’ve got a highlighter handy, you’d better swipe that fluoro ink across your calendar all the way from Wednesday November 13 to Sunday November 24. Brisbane International Film Festival (BIFF) is coming to town and you’ll want to soak up every moment. More than 130 incredible films will light up Brisbane’s big screens over 12 days, making you laugh, cry, swoon and no doubt develop an unhealthy addiction to popcorn.

Now in its 22nd year, BIFF showcases the best films of 2013 across all genres and from all corners of the globe. Broaden the mind with a fascinating line-up of films and documentaries from up-and-coming directors as well as household names. The spine-chilling classic The Exorcist will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a late-night screening and a special appearance by the possessed child herself, Linda Blair. The film event will be shared across a number of venues throughout Brisbane, including GOMA, the State Library of Queensland, and Palace Barracks and Palace Centro Cinemas. Browse the full program of events, screenings and educational workshops here and find all the ticketing details online.
