Chuckle along to the Brisbane Comedy Festival
While the comment of LOL tends to litter most modern text (and indeed real-life) conversations, it seems rare that true laugh-out-loud moments actually occur in day-to-day life. Hopefully proving that hilarity isn’t just for the technological realm, the Brisbane Comedy Festival returns to town next week, running February 26 until March 24.
A colourful platter of comedians of all nationalities (and comedic styles) will join the Brisbane Comedy Festival, which is to be situated alongside the riverbank at Brisbane Powerhouse. Amongst those performing over the course of a month will be the talents of Dave O’Neill, Matt Okine, Stephen K Amos, Tommy Dasalo, Tom Ballard, Super Happy Fun Time and Josh Earl. Josh Thomas, Wil Anderson and Mel Buttle will also be joining the crew, representing Australia’s own popular pool of comedic talent.
For a chance to revel with some up-and-comers, make sure you don’t miss out on the Breakout Comedy show from February 21. In an intended showcase of the best emerging local talent, you’ll see Nick Cody, Tien Tran, Dayne Rathbone and Michael Hing deliver a chuckle-worthy set as they introduce themselves to the Queensland audience.
