Wish you were beer – Brewsvegas brings us shandy soirees, pet nat painting parties and Sunday sours sessions
Brewsvegas is back! As the annual beersy event has grown and evolved, so too has the local beer community. From the introduction of new homegrown brews in Brisbane’s local bars, pubs, restaurants and bottle shops to state-of-the-art breweries popping up all over town – the prevalence of of quality, flavoursome beer seems to be ever growing. Showcasing the finest beers on offer from pints of pale ale to bitters and bocks, Brewsvegas brings together the best and brightest from Brisbane’s brewing scene from March 12 to 22. Cheers to that!
Back for its seventh year, Brewsvegas is a ten-day grass roots celebration of Brisbane’s burgeoning craft beer culture. The Brewsvegas community is welcoming in the new decade with a 2020 program of events that are sure to tantalise your taste buds with some of the best locally made beer. The cracking line-up of events are happening across some of the city’s most favoured pit-stops to fuel up on frothies, food and fun, including the likes of The Catchment Brewing Co., Fritzenburger, Alfie’s: Craft House, Newstead Brewing Co, Soapbox Beer, Fonzie Abbot, Tippler’s Tap, Sea Legs Brewing Co, Archive Beer Boutique, Netherworld, Mongrel, Brewski Bar, The Foundry, Blute’s Bar, plus many, many more.
Want to know where to start? Team up with your mates and compete in a tournament battle of cornhole and Bonspiel, at Beer, Bacon & Battle at Sea Leg’s Brewing Co, sip on special brews at The Milton Good Beer Trail, enjoy a night of reggae music, barbecue bites, beach games and of course fresh Modus beer at The Beaches come to the Valley! at Elephant or sink a few balls (and pints) at Holes N Hops Brisbane. Plus, there will be a Pet Nats and Painting Party, Meet the Makers Sessions, and even a 70’s Shandy Soiree. It all kicks off with the Brewsvegas launch party at Stone & Wood on Thursday March 12, a night that promises good vibes, icy-cold sips and slops and plenty of live entertainment.
