Boundary Street Markets gets involved with the Brisbane Fringe Festival

Market wanderers will be able to take in some of Brisbane’s best underground entertainment as Boundary Street Markets’ The Motor Room hosts a range of gig over two weekends.

From August 15–30, the Brisbane Fringe Festival takes over various venues to host a range of thrilling theatre, mesmerising music, amazing art and captivating cabaret. The Motor Room at the Boundary Street Markets will be one such location where locals can catch underground musicians performing. Over two weekends, Boundary Street Market shoppers can catch reggae, psychedelic rock, pop, funk and world music from 7:00 pm onwards.

Friday August 21 will see performances from local bands Hemingway and Tea Society and on Saturday August 22 Melbourne seven-piece Animaux will take the stage. On Friday August 28 the reggae and funk stylings of CC the Cat will fill the air, followed on Saturday August 29 by West End World Beat, a concert featuring Queensland Music Award-winners MZAZA that will celebrate the conclusion of the Brisbane Fringe Festival for 2015. Head to the Brisbane Fringe Festival website to check out more information or to see what other acts you can catch around town.
