BNE DESIGN celebrates Brisbane’s makers with a bespoke open-air market
It’s no secret that Brisbane is swimming with talented artisans – you need only visit any of the cool makers markets of a weekend to get a glimpse of what our creative communities have to offer. Our city’s makers have a serious knack for crafting beautiful, unique and sustainable products that stand up against the best in the country – and you have a chance to see them all in one place. Coming to King George Square as part of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games’ massive Festival 2018 program, BNE DESIGN is running from April 13–15 to bring bespoke Brisbane goodness to The City.
BNE DESIGN is a special open-air design market that has been designed to celebrate the talent and craftsmanship of independent designers and artisans from across Brisbane and its outer regions. Museum of Brisbane will be hosting the event, which is a perfect fit – MoB has a long history and killer reputation for fostering some of our city’s finest creative minds. Across Friday evening and during the day on Saturday and Sunday, King George Square will be buzzing with the energy of some of Brisbane’s best makers all gathered in the one place – and you get to reap the rewards.
When it comes to the offering, BNE DESIGN is bursting at its figurative seams with talented Brisbane artisans. Whether you’ve been seeking luxe new linens, a fabulous one-of-a-kind outfit or some eye-popping ceramics for your plant pals, this is the place to stock up. A carefully curated collection of 30 vendors has been selected for the market, including favourites such as Bianca Mavrick, Yippywhippy, Two Warm Hands, Aqua door Designs, Laurence Usher and oodles more.
